The Lowland Leader Award Assessment is a leadership test for those wishing to take to the world of outdoor leadership. The award enables you to lead groups on day walks, along clearly defined tracks and trails, in forests, coast and countryside during summer conditions.

Are you ready for assessment? Have you?
Maintained your logbook in accordance with the MTBI guidelines
Completed all personal details on the appropriate page
Become a current member of MI or an affiliated club
Obtained a valid first aid certificate and included a copy within
Completed all aspects of Lowland Leader Award Training and provided evidence within
Shown evidence of a minimum of 20 walks in Lowland Leader terrain, a minimum of 5 of which should show progressive leadership
Read and understood all aspects of the MTBI Lowland Leader Award syllabus, MI’s Environmental Policy, MI’s Good Practice Guide and MI’s Children’s policy
